Made with halal-certified ingredients, these marshmallows offer a delightful twist on the classic confection, ensuring that they comply with Islamic dietary laws while delivering a unique and flavorful experience.

Instructions of Fruit Jam Halal Marshmallow
  1. Prepare the Gelatin Mixture: In a small bowl, sprinkle the halal gelatin over the cold water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
  2. Cook the Sugar Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, salt, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved. Attach a candy thermometer to the side of the pan and continue to cook without stirring until the mixture reaches 240°F (115°C).
  3. Combine Gelatin and Sugar Syrup: Remove the sugar syrup from heat. Slowly and carefully pour the hot syrup into the gelatin mixture, mixing on low speed with a stand mixer. Once combined, increase the speed to high and whip until the mixture is thick, fluffy, and has cooled to lukewarm. This should take about 10-15 minutes. Add the vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
  4. Prepare the Marshmallow Base: Dust a baking dish with powdered sugar. Pour half of the marshmallow mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. Add the Fruit Jam: Gently spoon dollops of fruit jam onto the marshmallow layer, spacing them evenly. Pour the remaining marshmallow mixture over the top, covering the jam dollops completely.
  6. Set and Cut the Marshmallows: Dust the top of the marshmallow mixture with powdered sugar and let it sit uncovered at room temperature for at least 4 hours or overnight to set. Once set, turn the marshmallow slab onto a cutting board and cut into squares using a sharp knife dusted with powdered sugar.
  7. Final Touch: Roll each marshmallow square in additional powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
